COLD-FLU SICK POLICY

COLD-FLU SICK POLICY

Starting from June 2023, Fox Vision Development has updated its policy regarding masks. Masks are no longer required to enter the building. However, to ensure the well-being of everyone, the staff kindly requests that if your child is feeling unwell or experiencing any flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue, vomiting, or diarrhea, you keep them at home. Students should only return after being symptom-free for 24 hours.

In the event that you or your child exhibit signs and symptoms of a potential illness, we reserve the right to ask you or your child to wear a mask while inside the building. This precautionary measure aims to maintain a healthy environment for the staff and other individuals present.

COVID-19

Fox Vision Development Center is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and our office is taking many precautions to reduce the risk of exposure to both patients and staff.

In addition to thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting equipment and commonly touched surfaces every hour, we are following all other hygiene recommendations from the CDC. All patients must complete a verbal COVID-19 questionnaire and have their temperature taken using a contact-free thermometer upon arrival. Additionally, patients will be asked to remove their shoes and wash their hands before beginning their therapy appointment.

If your child, yourself, or any family member has symptoms of illness or has been exposed to someone who does, including but not limited to those listed below, please cancel your appointment.

  • Fever
  • Runny nose
  • Cough
  • Rash
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

You will NOT be charged for cancellations. We will strictly adhere to this policy and dismiss any patient or team member who has any symptoms of illness. Please do not return to the office until you have been symptom-free for 14 days or you have had a negative Covid test.

We will continue to follow NYS recommendations, update this webpage with any information about office closures or additional measures, and contact our patients are required. Please contact us with any questions or to learn more.
